The new media reports that we are defeating al Qaeda and the Taliban have caught a lot of people off guard considering that this is the first time they are hearing such news. But if they have been reading American Thinker for the last year they knew this was coming. I have been detailing the conditions that allowed this to happen since early 2007. I have recapped it as an explanation for those folks who are surprised by the fact that we are winning. It may seem like a victory lap but there is more to it than that.
