Scott Malensek jumped all over this right away, when the McClatchy article came out, and before the Report was actually released (it seems the McClatchy reporter as well as all the other MSM journalists have not bothered to read the actual Report).
Curt’s original post, last week:
http://www.floppingaces.net/2008/03/11/pentagon-no-aqiraq-link/
Scott’s first post:
http://www.floppingaces.net/2008/03/15/pentagon-rpt-confirms-saddams-regime-supported-al-qaida/
Scott followed up after Mark Eichenlaub’s post went up:
http://www.floppingaces.net/2008/03/16/no-ties-between-saddam-and-al-queda-network-of-terrorist-groups/
For those interested, Mark Eichenlaub and Scott Malensek debated in the comments section of the McClatchy article: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/29959.html
For any lefties who want to poo-poo Newsmax or the Weekly Standard pieces, and your own blogposts, just encourage them to read the actual 94 page report itself. It is contrary to the way the media has characterized it.
