Mark Fuhrman Radio Show Axed by KGA1510

A blow against the right of a free people to be informed/educated by a free press. The Mark Fuhrman Radio Show was axed this morning by KGA1510 in Spokane, WA. Fuhrman’s Show was MIA this morning without notice.
This may be a further move by the River Park Square developers that also own and control 80% of the media in Spokane including the Spokesman-Review to cover their tracks in a complex white collar fraud. Allegedly in this fraud, millions of dollars were sucked from the pockets of the citizens of Spokane by their political and appointed government officials complicit in this fraud.
The Mark Fuhrman Show was the only local media seriously talking about the ongoing River Park Square fraud (Upwards of $100M) where the citizens of Spokane are paying $2.5M per year. In the mayoral election that just concluded Mary Verner won over the incumbent Dennis Hession. Hession would not distance himself from a campaign loan of $10K from local attorney Mike Ormsby potentially the most culpable in the RPS fraud in which there is a federal investigation underway. Verner committed to bringing back Seattle Atty O. Yale Lewis to unravel the RPS fraud who was fired by former Mayor Powers who brought in attorney Laurel Siddoway (See references below).
Mark Fuhrman who had previously supported Mayor Hession put Hession on the hot seat re this loan. The Mayor would only say that Mike Ormsby was a close personal friend. The Spokesman-Review, the local paper of record owned by the developer of RPS, in it’s initial coverage gave the Ormsby loan a pass without context while giving context re a loan from Avista (Power Company) and a cell tower locating firm to the Hession Campaign. See the S-R articles here. It wasn’t until several days before the end of this mailed election did the S-R run a follow-up story re the significance of the Ormsby loan. The Fuhrman Show may have been the deciding factor in this election. There is no secret the RPS developers were backing Mayor Hession’s campaign.
It was also on the Mark Fuhrman Show that the sitting US Attorney Jim McDevitt for the Eastern Washington Federal Judicial District appeared to defend himself from serious charges alleged the previous week by Larry Shook of Camas Magazine re his past involvement in the RPS fraud. McDevitt said he had not received any “credible” case for review. He then committed if someone brought him a “credible” case he would recuse himself and send it to the Atty General in DC for reassignment. I wrote a letter to the S-R’s OP-ED page expressing my concerns re that maybe McDevitt was the real reason why no federal criminal investigation had gained any traction.
Tim Connor of Camas Magazine and Cherie Rodgers former Spokane City Council member, took McDevitt up on McDevitt’s offer and delivered a multi-count complaint to McDevitt. McDevitt has since recused himself and the case was sent to DC. Sources have indicated the case has been re-assigned to the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of WA (Seattle, WA) for investigation. The Mark Fuhrman Show was MIA this morning on KGA1510. No mention on the air. I called the station and confirmed that the show was no longer on the station. Shades of KXLY TV reporter Tom Grant all over again re the RPS fraud (See reference below). Grant’s voice was silenced at KXLY. Coincidently, special city bond counsel Laurel Siddoway was the atty for this TV station (See reference below). Fuhrman also left KXLY radio at the same time re coverage of the local Catholic Diocese cover up of allegations of sexual molestations. Grant moved to the local FOX TV affiliate. Tom Grant was again silenced there when the RPS developers “bought” the FOX station. Fuhrman went to KGA1510, a Citidal outlet. KGA and other Citidal stations have been sold.
KGA1510, the host of the Mark Fuhrman Show, was purchased by Mapleton Communications; a LLC which is owned in part by Mapleton Investments (a firm owned by the principal of Falcon Cable TV). This sale just became final in the last several weeks. There is no known relationship between Mapleton Communications and the RPS Developer yet. This move is very transparent and “old school.” The RPS developers just purchased three TV outlets in California for $41M in cash. Attempted control of info/news of the day will not work in this age of the new media.
The people of Spokane clearly expressed their voice in the mayoral election with the choice of Verner over Hession. The question is now will Verner have the guts to bring in O. Yale Lewis to “clean up” this ongoing criminal conspiracy and make the citizens of Spokane whole again.
For further info/docs re the level of systemic political/governmental corruption in Spokane, one need only read the joint investigative work of national award winning reporters Tim Conner and Larry Shook at www.camasmagazine.com. Shook has a soon to be published riveting book on this fraud: “The Girl from Hotsprings.” This is all about “Death by Parking” and the death of Ms. Jo Savage in the RPS Parking Garagre due to a well documented structural failure that there was no motivation or incentive to fix or mitigate. IMHO based on my training, education, and professional experience the death of Ms. Savage should be thoroughly investigated as a negligent homicide - manslaughter. The owners had a duty and responsibility to act that they failed to do over some 15 years with multiple warnings of such a failure.
Trust me one does not want to P/O a cop especially one that has the close ear of Gretta on FOX NEWS.

November 15, 2007One of Spokane’s few talk-radio programs, “The Mark Fuhrman Show” on KGA-AM (1510), is off the air as of today.
Fuhrman and Rebecca Mack, the co-host and producer, said they were dismissed by station management yesterday. A California radio conglomerate, Mapleton Communications, is in the process of purchasing KGA-AM from Citadel Broadcasting Corp.
“They said our show just wasn’t part of the buy,” Fuhrman said. “Obviously, it became a condition of the sale.”
Mack said management cited the show’s “failure to monetize” – i.e., make enough money – as one reason for the decision.
A call to KGA-AM’s general manager has not yet been returned.
“If it was money, we’re not knocking down Fort Knox when our checks are paid,” Fuhrman said.
Mack said that live local programming can be expensive when compared to the alternative: running national syndicated shows.
Fuhrman said the show was No. 3 in the Arbitron ratings for talk shows in the market among its target audience of men, because it was up against national hosts Rush Limbaugh and Dennis Miller.
Fuhrman said his show was essentially the only talk show in Spokane that “hit hard on the issues.”
“I think it’s very regrettable to the community,” Mack said. “Hate us or love us, we tried to keep the pot stirred and keep the community informed and engaged.”
Fuhrman, the former Los Angeles police detective known for his role in the O.J. Simpson case, began his talk show in 1999 on KXLY-AM. The show was canceled in 2004 and was picked up within days by KGA-AM.

So a California firm buys KGA, and the RPG folks just bought in California, and now Fuhrman and Mack don’t fit the schedule? I must be becoming a conspiracy theorist. Don’t we have an independent station here who can do the right thing and bring us back our local voice? I might not always agree, but I love the discussion. He isn’t national, he’s ours. And we’d better keep him!

It is a sad day in Spokane to lose the one honest voice on talk radio stating “doesn’t fit their schedule”? I pray someone will follow the Cowles money trail to Calif. and how it came back from their to silence the voice that questioned RPS. I put a block on my KGA radio and television channels so no one in my house can receive information from these media sources. They can silence a voice on their station, but so can I. I hope Mark comes back with a national spotlight on the RPS mess. I hope one day this city can rid it’s self of the strangle hold of the people who have held this city hostage for it’s personal gain and those who helped cover it up. Maybe we can go back and recover the bodies of those who spoke out against them and forced out of town.
I`m not surprised the Spokesman-Review had a staff writer (a Cowles lackey) add to the story regarding Mark Fuhrman`s axed KGA radio talk show. Obviously, Councilman Brad Stark was allowed to comment about the shows demise. The newspaper neglected to mention Stark`s sneaky underhanded snooping in the desk of Rebecca Mack when he was a guest on the Fuhrman show. I`m not surprised at the Spokesman Review`s allowing Stark the opportunity to sound like a good guy with his comments. I thought it was a final shot at Rebecca Mack. Figures!

A woman by the name of Lisa Nichols is saying on the internet that Mark was fired because a police report was filed claiming that Mark’s girlfriend Kelly threatened Lisa Nichols’ 12 year old daughter while Mark was present. Lisa Nichols filed the report against Kelly and Mark Fuhrman citing child abuse.
I find that hard to believe and very convenient timing…
Don’t know who you are or where you get your information but there was a police report filed here in Spokane. It was filed a year ago with Spokane City Police Department and I also read it and because of all of the focus on OJ Simpson, Fuhrman has people probing his life here. You better be careful Jody who you blame, especially if it involves an innocent child. If she is blogging it, it might be true. How is it you know that the child is 12 years old? I have never read that anywhere. It’s not Fuhrman’s girlfriend, it’s his wife Kelly, so you got your facts wrong on that too. If this woman is saying this, then why didn’t she say it a year ago? You must have something against this Lisa Nichols to try to put the blame on her or are you trying to defame her. Nichols has known Fuhrman for a few years and has nothing against him. She is a gorgeous woman and she had pictures of her and Fuhrman having dinner together on that blog that you were a member of. They are friends and she has never claimed he was fired for what you state. Lisa Nichols is a decent smart beautiful woman who has done a lot to help Fuhrman with his Pardon and you are just jealous because she knows Fuhrman. Jody Stewart, you are a liar and you better be careful what you write.
Fuhrman is a hot head and he threatened a lot of political big shots here in Spokane and I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner. I’m not a Fuhrman fan, he is becoming a “has been”, however I liked Rebecca Mack. Why couldn’t they make it the Rebecca Mack Show.

BlaBlaBla-I usually avoid blogs as they usually disintegrate in to a bunch of name calling and unrelated issues. I was pleasantly surprised when I read the first five coherent and well thought out posts. Then things went downhill and I read more of what I expect from blogs. How about saving the Kelly , Jodi , Lisa and Tammy stuff for another blog? With that said here is my opinion on the firing of Mark Fuhrman and Rebecca Mack.
Spokane found it’s voice one day and said, “We want a new sherrif,” and it was done. Spokane found it’s voice again and it said, “We want a new police chief,” and it was done. Spokane then found it’s voice and said, “We want a mayor that is willing to at least to take a look at the RPS issue,”…and it was done. Spokane said, “We want to make sure that we don’t elect a city council member that has ties to the “old guard”, and it was done. I feel all of these extremely powerful changes that Spokane has made have a common bond. They were talked about and addressed on the Mark Furhman show. SO then the “powers that be” said “Spokane’s voice is getting too loud, let silence it!”, the Mark Fuhrman show was canceled and IT WAS DONE. Whether you like Mark or Rebecca is not the issue here.( I personally did not agree with them all the time but would love to visit with them both in a “heated” debate over a “cold beer”!) The issue is free speech/press and putting the PEOPLE of Spokane in the position to make positive and informed decisions. We need to bring these voices back ASAP! This is a very sad day indeed. Dr. K

This is Tammy and I was a member of that markfuhrman crime blog too and you know who I am and i know who you are. You are low life and no one cares what you think or what you write. You are a trouble maker and a gossip monger and a troll and you always were, even when I had that blog. It was because of you and the trouble you caused and created that she deleted that blog. You got Barbara in trouble with Mack as well. You knew she worked on his Pardon and she asked for all members to write the Governor to help him out with it. You are a mouth and a low life scum bag gossiper old lady.
Fuhrman was fired because of costs reductions and they cannot justify the amount of cost versus the amount of money revenues from advertisers. I personally think it is because it is a California company and people there still hold the OJ case against Fuhrman. Keep your drama and your wacko opinions to yourself because you are talking about about a good hearted person, something you lack.
The biggest sore on the Mark Fuhrman show was Rebecca Mack. Everyday, she would comment on the show about something that somehow bothered her life personally. We were all privvy to hearing about the breakins up on the South Hill, near her house, how her sons bike was stolen, how her sons car was carjacked, how her property taxes were going up because of neighbors house addons/upgrades, yada yada yada… Many people were tired of hearing her whine, about her everyday mundane life. She is the only person I know that can have multiple houses/rentals and then complain about property taxes going up. It’s a part of life we all go through it. Be thankful you have rental properties, some people don’t even have that?!? It’s also my understanding from people I work with and interact with, that the pusing for Ozzie K, was so strong and unfortunately successful, it soured a lot of people to the show. Many people were for Cal W, (Spokane County Crime stats 2006, Spokane Valley, lowest crime rate in S-County. Fastest Busniness Growth S-County, Fastest Residential Growth S-County. He helped turn the Spokane Valley, from a Meth House Mecca to a very nice, attractive, liveable community. Mark lost lots of listeners because of his adamant negativity to Cal W. Do you remember the “Recall Jim West”. T Shirts? It was my company that bought those 250 shirts and handed them to Shannon and opponents to Jim W, during his scandal. But again, Mark and Rebecca Yack Yack Yack Yack, lost me as a listener.
Does anyone know what Mark and Rebecca are doing now? Has another radio station picked them up? Does Mark/Rebecca have their own website?
I am stunned that they took the Mark Furhman Show off the air! It was the ONLY informative radio and/or TV show in this area. Nobody can compare, nobody! Love or hate Mark, agree or disagree, you have to admit he addressed the issues…the issues that nobody else dare undress!
Spokane is more narrow minded than I thought! I didn’t always agree with Mark Furhman and he did irritate me more than not, but I truly appreciated the show and how the local news was disected into bits, to better understand. You are missed! I hope another station will be courageous enough to put you on the air again :O)
